Become an online home tutor
Thank -you for your interest in joining us at onlinehometutors.co.uk, our sister company. We aim to work with highly qualified teachers/tutors/education professionals familiar with the UK education system and current qualifications and syllabi.
What is the process for becoming an online Home Tutor?
First fill register as a tutor and complete an online profile. Note tutors with personal photographs receive more ‘hits’.
When you are happy with your profile, save it and message us at admin to request and begin the approval of your registration. For new tutors we will ask for supporting documentation (proof of qualifications and other supporting documents, CV etc) and we’ll perform a series of background checks, collect references and recommendations, request DBS, or equivalent, where appropriate, and possibly invite you to online interview. If you pass all our background checks and agree to our terms and conditions we’ll start matching you up to students looking for private tuition in your subject area .
Once I’m registered with Online Home Tutors how much work will I get?
The amount of work you get depends on several factors:
- What you teach, your tutoring experience and expertise and the level you tutor. Some subject areas are more in demand than others – for example core subjects like Maths, English and Sciences.
- Your availability: international students, in different time zones, may also request the tuition. This can be good for those wanting to tutor during the day.
- Your profile – profiles with pictures get more hits for example.
- Recommendations
How much will I get paid?
